Joy in a Jar

“Sometimes things become possible if we want them bad enough.” T.S. Eliot

What a joy for my Nutella & waffles/Nutella & bananas/Nutella & a spoon gang.  This ‘dream come true’ was recently spied while out shopping.

CAM03032It’s August at Costco, so you can find it too.  Look just this side of the Halloween costumes near the Christmas Decorations.

How big is that jar you ask?CAM03033ELEVEN POUNDS!

Wow, what must the demand be to be answered in such a super-sized way?  I guess it’s not just my kids that are hazelnut nuts. Probably should have taken a moment to calculate the calories, fat grams and (OK, fine) protein that enormous jar contained.

Surprisingly, we were able to appreciate it but not make a pantry shelf bending chocolate investment.   We did restock the regular size duo (26.5 ounce jars) for back to school. Almost time for Nutella and PB sandwiches!

I was at Costco today….how could I have missed that enormous jar? Yikes! Seems extreme even if you had at least 11 children to consume the 11 pounds!
