Oh Sheldon

“Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.”  Sheldon Cooper, The Big Bang Theory:

Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock!

A collection of favorite my TV shows would include The Big Bang Theory. And classics like The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart would join in too. Gotta appreciate decades of entertainment that makes you think, and laugh. As a child to young adult, and again with your children. IMHO, that’s fantastic.  (And collegiate moments well-spent with friends watching reruns with while raising a mug of malted beverage. Fairly certain it was significant research for something)  My major television regret is that I didn’t see the acclaimed last episode of Newhart due to school (!) commitments.  I could, however, now rectify it in a moment using Google . . .

“The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart” (1960) was a hit with all ages when played on a recent family road trip.  Everyone unplugged and listened together. I love it when/if we can make memories out of a monotonous drive by just laughing together. Or even share an elusive teenage “non-boy related” giggle.  550 miles later, we arrived/survived with a joke. a smile or a new perspective to share.  That was a gift from Mr. Bob Newhart. Thanks! (The album is about 30 minutes long, so do plan accordingly, repeating it nine times would not be suggested).

S0, Bob Newhart is returning in his Emmy winning role as Professor Proton this week on The Big Bang Theory! Can’t wait.

Bazinga!

See You Thursday.  Have Fun!
